Elementary Teachers of Toronto, Largest Teachers’ Local in Canada, Partners with Smoke & Felt

(TORONTO, ONTARIO) –  Smoke & Felt is excited to announce it is partnering with the Elementary Teachers of Toronto to develop and manage its digital communications. S&F will work with the Local on a variety of projects to deliver new and regular content to its more than 11,000 members across Toronto.

“I’m thrilled that the Elementary Teachers of Toronto has chosen to partner with Smoke & Felt for its needs,” said Matt Dusenbury, founder of the creative communications firm. “ETT does wonderful work for its members in communities across the city. I’m ecstatic the organization has selected S&F to help spread its message and build on the good work that’s already being done.”

The Elementary Teachers of Toronto is a Local of the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO). Constituted in 1998, ETT represents thousands of members employed by the Toronto District School Board, making it the largest teachers’ Local in Canada. To better connect with its membership and the general public, ETT operates a number of digital channels to provide up-to-date news, resources, and information on upcoming events and initiatives. It is here where Smoke & Felt will assist ETT over the coming weeks.

“Smoke & Felt has been a huge support to ETT during this time of transition,” said Jamie Thom, Vice President and Grievance Coordinator for the Elementary Teachers of Toronto. “From the moment they came on board, they have put us all at ease with their professional, efficient service. S&F’s attention to detail and ability to offer creative solutions to any communications challenge has been invaluable.”

Smoke & Felt will work closely with ETT to revitalize its communications in ways that help deliver value to members and drive the Local’s mandate across all of its channels, beginning with its website, social media accounts, and mailing lists.

“As an organization founded to assist unions and other like-minded progressive organizations with their needs, working with ETT is a perfect fit for S&F,” said Dusenbury. “I’m looking forward to the great work that is yet to come as we continue to build ETT’s reach and bring exciting offerings to members.”
