The Pro-Choice Society of Lethbridge & Southern Alberta Taps Smoke & Felt for 2022 Campaign

(LETHBRIDGE, ALBERTA) –  Smoke & Felt is excited to be partnering with the Pro-Choice Society of Lethbridge & Southern Alberta on a new communications campaign this summer. S&F will develop new messaging materials and establish effective community outreach on behalf of the organization, helping to bring its empowering library of resources, services, and broader mission to more people across southern Alberta.

“The Pro-Choice Society is a vital community organization supporting and protecting sexual health and reproductive choice in Lethbridge,” said Matt Dusenbury, founder of Smoke & Felt. “As it has grown, so too has its ability to serve more people by providing greater access to information and resources. I look forward to working with the group to make this vision a reality.”

A registered charity, the Pro-Choice Society of Lethbridge & Southern Alberta was founded in 2018 to expand access to resources on reproductive choice and sexual health in Lethbridge and the surrounding area. This includes abortion information and improving abortion access. The Pro-Choice Society offers materials on reproductive health with access to abortion clinics, financial assistance, and emotional support. The organization was founded in 2018 with hopes of speaking out for those who do not have a voice to do it themselves.

“Smoke & Felt has taken the time to understand our goals, our communities needs, and previous barriers experienced to ensure that the project is a true reflection of our organization,” said Chantal Parkinson, Executive Director of the Pro-Choice Society.

Smoke & Felt will work closely with Pro-Choice Society to expand its connections within the community, grow its network, and drive messaging through a variety of platforms in an effort to make its resources more broadly available.

“Access to comprehensive reproductive and sexual healthcare in our communities is still something many Canadians face,” said Dusenbury. “Together with the Pro-Choice Society, we will extend the organization’s mission to bring fair, safe and equitable access to abortion healthcare to everyone in every community.”
