Smoke & Felt Partners with Gameday London to Launch Local Journalism Project
(LONDON, ONTARIO) – Smoke & Felt is pleased to announce its latest client partnership with Gameday London, a new non-profit sports publication dedicated to growing local journalism and building community and connection through sport.

Gameday London’s online publication seeks to be the premiere destination for sports coverage in London, Ontario. Its team of writers and reporters will take readers far beyond the box scores and provide insight, analysis and engaging storytelling about the people behind the plays -- while also promoting youth sport participation and mentoring a new generation of journalists.
“Local journalism, including sports coverage in the city, has experienced a serious decline in recent years,” said Todd Devlin, Gameday London’s editor-in-chief. “Our goal is to fill that void and re-engage Londoners with the city’s sports teams and athletes. By offering original, high-quality sportswriting, we hope to reinvigorate and re-instill the collective pride in London’s sports community.

Smoke & Felt will provide the digital infrastructure for Gameday London, including its website, social media, and other channels, as well as offering insight on branding and advertising.

Gameday London is scheduled to launch in early 2021.
